2015 BMW 7 - The 740Ld xDrive torque Both are good, stable and comfortable ride, and a reasonable highway efficiency makes it suitable for long distance cruises. Optional Active Suspension and tire performance sedan handling large change it, giving it a surprising amount of grip and responsive. Being a modern Bimmer, 740Ld features the latest generation iDrive infotainment system of the car, version 4.2. With a twist and click the iDrive control buttons on the center console - BMW does not touch sensitive screen - driver gains access to web-connected excellent navigation 3D, digital media, vehicle information and settings, and even digital manual vehicles.

With the powerful hardware that operates behind the scenes, this is the snappiest implementation of iDrive control scheme I've ever tested. While I still think the BMW software organizations can be a bit excessive, but I like that the car gives the driver more control over how the vehicle and facility operating system and what information is displayed on the screen infotainment.

IDrive controller that features the new BMW 7er touchpad technology; This adds a touch sensitivity on the top surface of the large control buttons that allow the driver to draw letters and spell address or point of interest when searching. Personally, I prefer to use a voice-command system very well when driving - it's just quicker and simpler than entering one letter at a time - but the finger-writing recognition is very accurate and is still faster than turning the key to make a selection of letters.

Music coming through the system optional Bang & Olufsen audio ($ 3700), which replaces Harman Kardon setup Executive package. The B & O system is both visible and dramatic sound, featuring an acoustic lens tweeters metal that rises from the center of the dashboard and illuminated, metal speaker grilles in the door, a-pillar and the rear parcel shelf. All in, we had 16 speakers and 1,200 watts of amplification. Although beautiful to look at, B & O upgrade also sounds fantastic.

The audio system has two modes - Studio and expanded - which gives the driver a choice between a more compact sound stage with excellent stereo separation with the cleanest, tight sound or, more stage-filling wider cabin noise sacrifice just a little bass tightness to experience more tactile. I prefer the studio to talk and expanded programming for music. Both modes do a fantastic job accurately reproduce sound without distortion. That the cabin BMW so well built and insulated from road and engine noise deliver audiophile system is a great platform from which to work.
